Gunther has a big personality. He is incredibly earnest in everything he does and is the most endearing pet we've ever had. Will sit for treats. Uses cardboard scratching pad. Gets along well with dogs, but not so much with other cats. Likes to be the boss. Loves wrestling with our dog, alternating between smacking her in the face and licking her. Will demand attention by sitting on you and getting in your face. Will give you hugs and kisses. Has the most amazing vocal range and repertoire of any cat. Will run in place like a cartoon character while revving his kitty engine. Loves rubs and scratches on his chin and cheek, and the little white spot on his chest and the cowlick on his belly. Likes being brushed, until he doesnt. Is used to getting his claws clipped (we just do it at home with a standard nail clipper). Will want to explore countertops but if you consistently hiss "Pssssst" at him he will very quickly learn that it's not okay. Loves sleeping and cuddling in bed.

Some of his favorite toys/hobbies: mouse on a string/stick, ribbons/string (he'll play tug of war), folded up plastic bags and twist ties (will play fetch), Being in and on boxes and paper bags, tearing cardboard into shreds with his teeth and spitting them out all over the floor, sitting in the window and watching birds, playing with the dog, practicing parkour with the furniture

Food
Gunther gets fed canned food twice a day (1/2 can each time), sometimes 1 whole can if he seems especially hungry.

We also make sure he has dry food to munch on. You don't have to worry about him over-eating.

Water
Because of his kidney condition, Gunther drinks a lot. The vet tests showed that he can't concentrate his urine, so he does need access to a lot of clean, fresh water. This means he pees a lot, which is why we switched to the Breeze litter system to save time on cleaning litter. He's a messy and loud drinker and ever since he was a kitten has always dipped his chin into the water (hence the nickname Dribble Chin).

Treats
Gunther learned to sit for his treats by watching the dog. He loves Greenies dental chews (chicken flavor) and the smartbites.

Playtime
Gunther loves playing and will bring toys to you if he wants to play. The bed and our big armchair are his favorite playgrounds. He also enjoys receipts, boxes, drawstrings, belly rubs, and lots of hugs.

Litter
We typically clean Gunther's litter box twice a day, which with the Breeze system means rotating the drawer once and swapping out a pad each day. We use a Litter Genie to clean out his litter box. Here's a video on how to use it: /watch?v=3bX2z3qsyjQ.
