Forfeiture Support Associates, LLC (FSA), a rapidly growing professional support services company delivering high-quality service in support of Law Enforcement, has an immediate Data Analyst (Document Specialist) opening meeting the following criteria: Data Analyst (Document Specialist) at the United States Marshals Service in the D.C. Metro Area (undisclosed, classified location); Top Secret Security Clearance a Plus. This location is not accessible by public transportation-car necessary. Work performed in a SCIF-like environment.

A Data Analyst in this office will specifically execute the following duties:

  • Principally perform high-level scanning of master file documents to convert them into an electronic format
  • Sort and categorize documents from a variety of formats, including old paper files and microfiche, prior to converting the data to an electronic file format in accordance with specified guidelines
  • Review data for completeness of information
  • Maintain highest level of attention to detail to avoid duplicate entries of documents into electronic files
  • Work with contractor and government personnel to establish best practices for new initiative
  • Perform quality checks of hard copy and electronic records
Typically, a Data Analyst executes the following duties:
  • Provide organization and management of case files
  • Review data (completeness of information, proper execution)
  • Extract data from data base
  • Obtain additional information from other investigative agencies/data base
  • Establish/maintain physical file
  • Prepare notices/advertisements
  • Receive, suspense petitions, claims, process sharing requests
  • Reconcile inconsistencies
  • Prepare declarations
  • Gather information and organize investigative package
  • Verify case files and case tracking system
  • Maintain internal status information on the disposition of all forfeited assets
  • Assure information is accurate and perform analytical computations necessary to process data
  • Conduct and reconcile inventories
  • Distribute and receive documents
  • Assist lead analyst or official in obtaining/collecting all documents/information to complete case file
  • Provide administrative information and assistance concerning case to other investigative agencies, local law enforcement agencies, US Attorney, and other DOJ processing units, and higher headquarters
  • Extract data from agency data base for management and program reports
  • Perform word processing relevant to case documentation
  • Perform data entry relevant to case
