Matt Pit Bull Terrier Young - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Arlington, Virginia

$350

Meet Matt, This handsome guy recently arrived at a high intake shelter in rural SC where his chances of adoption are quite slim. Sadly, there are way too many dogs in the area and not enough homes for all of them and so Matt's hope for a new family rests on his chances of finding a foster or forever home in a different part of the US. Worthy Dog would like to bring him to town but first would need a committed foster or adopter in order to do so.
Matt arrived at the shelter when a good Samaritan was driving down a busy street in SC and saw him wandering on his own. She stopped her car and he readily jumped right in. From the very first, she was surprised at his friendly nature. He was found with an embedded collar which has now healed. Matt ignored cats at the shelter and has been good with other dogs that he's been kenneled with. Matt is currently living in an outdoor kennel and not fostered indoors at this time. As a result, we don't know if he is housetrained but should learn quickly.
Matt is described as having medium to high energy but it could be because he doesn't have a lot of chances to burn off the energy that a 1-2 year old dog has. Matt would probably do best with older kids since he is higher energy and might not be aware of how his youthful exuberance might affect smaller kids when playing.

If you are interested in either fostering or adopting Matt, please do apply today. He has his bags packed and he's ready to travel. He just needs a willing and able home ready to take him in, as a foster or adopter.
