LCG is seeking a Grants Review Manager will manage grants review projects, which are moderately complex or are a portion of a larger program. S/he will coordinate teams through all phases including concept, development, implementation and closeout. The Grants Review Manager will oversee the work breakdown structure, critical path and change control of the grants management review process. S/he will work with staff from other departments to manage, schedules and operations to ensure that required resources are available. The Grants Review Manager will serve as a liaison with the project sponsor, customers and other stakeholders. Experience in working with U.S. Department of Education grant programs is required.



PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and support grant reviews for various Federal clients, including supporting the peer review of federal discretionary grant applications for a number of federal agencies both onsite and remotely.
  • Serve as primary client contact on specified projects, analyze business plans and coordinate with federal staff.
  • Oversee all material components of grant management, which involve monitoring workflow, delegating assignments to assigned staff and training staff on contract-specific tasks.
  • Organize and manage reviewer recruiting, negotiate contracts with hotels and other vendors, review and approve payment vouchers and reimbursement claims for reviewers, vendors, and hotels.
  • Develop team task lists and budget hours using project management software.
  • Provide Quality Assurance for all aspects of the Operations processes.
  • Manage the administration of projects assigned to the teams, development of grant review databases, websites, and quality assurance procedures and documentation.
  • Focus on using technical systems integration and database management to streamline the processes involved and ensure client satisfaction through reporting.
  • Analyze system requirements to help define project scopes and requirements.
  • Perform pre-release application testing, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Perform formal and informal training sessions with client users and potential clients when needed.
  • Provide both reviewer and client users with help desk type support.
  • Assist in supporting a sustainable IT infrastructure by supplying cross training and functional documentation.
  • Track and maintain data for monthly reporting.
  • Manage resources to meet project budget.
  • Identify project stakeholders.
  • Manage lines of communication with partners.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Variable based on project need. Potential supervision of temporary employees, including recruitment, onsite support and training.



EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated process management experience in grants management.
  • Knowledge of the federal grant review process
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, MS SharePoint)
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Educations G5 system
  • PMP certification preferred
