Powering up this classic muscle car is the 273 Commando engine that was rebuilt around 1,000 miles ago. This is a rare little V8 with 10.5 to 1 compression and has no problem getting it down the road. The block, manifold, heads, water pump, and timing chain cover are coated in matching Red and look great. The engine compartment is all coated in Red as well making for a nice clean look. The black valve covers are accented with fins and the correct chrome air cleaner is in place. The torqueflite 904 automatic transmission is in place and shifting smooth. The power steering system is working great and the steering box was just rebuilt. Other new components include the new tank, new fuel lines, new front end, new brake system, and new bearings. A new exhaust system is also in place providing a nice rumble. The 7 1/4 rearend is fitted with 3:23 gears and is a non posi system. The interior on this car is in just as beautiful condition as the rest. The Pearl White vinyl looks great next to all that Red and is very comfortable. All of the trim as well as the door handles, etc are in great shape and have an awesome shine. The dash is all in the original style condition with the knobs and switches all in place. The original AM radio is in place and still works like new. Plus there is a era correct FM converter. The power top raises and lowers with no problems and is in great shape. It is all power assisted so it can be done by one person with no issue. The trunk is finished out just as nicely being painted with a rubber mat protecting the floors. The original jack equipment is also in the trunk which is a cool feature to have. This car is in great condition and everything works! It runs down the road with zero issues and is very fun to drive.
