If there were a 50's classic to rival the Chevys it has to be the Thunderbird. These classic combined fins with a cool roadster look that can't be matched. This is not just your average T-Bird though. This classic 57 is the correct Red color and lived its entire life in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. It was originally purchased by former WBAP-TV director and went through 1 more owner before getting to where it is today. All three of them cared equally for the car and always kept it in the garage (has never been parked outside). Not rare enough for you still? Well maybe the transmission will help convince you. Out of 21,380 Birds pushed out in 57 only 757 came with a manual transmission with overdrive and this ones got it. Many birds with a manual were later converted over to Ford-O-Matics so the number is probably much smaller nowadays. The car is coated in the original Red that looks great in the sunlight. It underwent a complete restoration in 86 where virtually everything was replaced. All of the exterior chrome and trim is in place on the car and looks awesome. If the wind in your hair isn't your type of thing have no fear. The tan soft top is like new and the White hardtop with portholes is in great shape as well. It is easy to add and remove and slides right into place. All of the glass is in great shape with no scratches or dings so that costly repair is no issue. It rides on a set of original wheels with the correct T-Bird hubcaps. The car wouldn't look right without Whitewalls so the 2 1/4" steelbelted radial tires have just been added. The block and heads are all painted to finish it off very well. The chrome Thunderbird valve covers look great especially next to the original style air cleaner. All of the hoses are in place and have been mounted nicely along the engine compartment. As we mentioned before the 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive is a special feature on this classic and shifts like new. The interior is beautifully finished out in Red vinyl that looks perfect along side the paint. Red lap seatbelts have been added for safety and are usually a forgotten feature when people are restoring these cars. The dash looks great in the car with all of the correct trim, knobs, and switches. A T-Bird AM/FM/Cassette player has been added but the original AM Town and Country radio does come with the car. The black faced gauges are all in place and look great in the brushed style trim. The underdash AC unit blows cold and was an aftermarket dealer add on that was a great investment. The telescoping steering column is topped with an original style steering wheel that is in great shape with zero cracking. The trunk houses a the spare wheel/tire and has zero rust. A brand new trunk liner is included with the car so you can get this thing looking perfect. The car has a clean title and needs nothing. It runs and drives great with no issues. It is extremely fun to cruise around in and does well at all shows it goes to. Don't miss your chance to own an iconic classic of your own! This beautiful T-Bird would be a great investment at only $45,500.00!
